Swim with whale sharks

Off the coast of Nosy Be, experience the rare and sensational opportunity to swim with the largest fish in the world—the majestic whale shark!

Simply equip yourself with fins, mask, and snorkel, slip into the water, and you’ll find yourself alongside this gentle giant, which can grow up to 15 meters long. Completely harmless, the whale shark glides gracefully, filtering plankton and small fish.

Whale sharks can be spotted in Nosy Be starting at the end of September.

Witness humpback whales

Accompanied by a specialized guide, set out to discover the mythical humpback whale. These majestic creatures come to Nosy Be’s waters between July and November to mate and give birth to their calves.

With favorable navigation and observation conditions during this period, and a comfortable, well-equipped boat designed for such excursions, you’re guaranteed an emotionally fulfilling day.

Snorkeling at Tanikely and Sakatia

In Nosy Be, all you need is fins, mask, and snorkel to explore the rich marine wildlife and flora. These excursions take you to discover the exceptional biodiversity of the coral reefs surrounding the islands near Nosy Be.
Nosy Tanikely : This marine reserve, protected from fishing for many years, is a true aquarium. Its clear, shallow waters (2 to 12 meters deep) host a vibrant array of marine life, including numerous hawksbill turtles.
Nosy Sakatia : Located west of Nosy Be, this island features a shallow seagrass bed (2 to 3 meters deep), making it the perfect spot to observe and admire giant green turtles feeding in these calm waters.
